How is FCR calculated?
Livestork calculates FCR as total feed consumed ÷ total liveweight gain for the batch. It's updated with each daily consumption record and each weighing session. You can view FCR at any point in the batch lifecycle, not just at close-out.
How does feed consumption link to inventory?
When feed is issued to a batch, it's recorded as a consumption event that references the specific inventory lot. Stock levels update in real time. The cost is taken from the purchase price of the lot being consumed (weighted average or FIFO, configurable per organisation).
Can I create feed schedules?
Yes. Feed schedules define the expected daily intake by age range (e.g., Days 1–7: 25g/bird, Days 8–21: 55g/bird). These serve as targets. Livestork tracks actual consumption against the schedule and highlights any significant deviation.
What counts as a concerning FCR deviation?
This depends on your breed and production context. Livestork lets you configure the variance threshold that triggers an alert: for example, an actual FCR more than 0.15 above target triggers a notification. You set the threshold; the system monitors it.
